cant load on vista - the version of this file is not compatible with this version of windows you are running. I tried running as admin and running in comp mode as xp and as 98 - no dice

i am sure i ran pcboard on vista, but XP runs pcboard fine aslong as your using netserial + netfoss for the telnet side of things _________________ Entropy bbs since !1992

Sorry to hear you are running Vista mate, it's a terrible piece of work in my opinion. These programs are all MS-DOS programs, so anything that will allow a DOS compatible shell should work. I doubt Vista even does. You can try to get Vista to run DOSBox or something perhaps to get the DOS environment you need, but there will no doubt be more that needs to be done to set up DOSBox with the variables we need. Not to mention the question of can you run a DOS based FOSSIL through a DOS emulating shell in Windows Vista... Goodness knows what DOSBox or any other (not that I've heard of another) can actually emulate, again especially on Vista.
Long story short, I was never planning to offer Vista support so sorry my good man. My apologies on behalf of whoever sold you the computer with Vista loaded also.
